Each shared layer is generally sent as a bitmap (though jpeg, jbig, G2,and G3 are other possible formats). Bitmaps are large and unoptimized.Complex displays can take time to fully transfer.
The cursor is considered as a layer (the topmost layer) and is shared aswell. This means that all participants in the collaboration share one cursor.
If the person in control of the cursor has any unshared windows open,those unshared windows can partially or totally obscure the view of shared windows on the desktops of other participants. As can be seen above,Mary is sharing a 3-D animation window
